Individual Eating Disorder Therapy

Individual Eating Disorder Therapy – Adolescent & Adult

Using an eclectic approach to therapy that is influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) and application-based body image work, I work with clients to gain valuable skills to better manage unwanted thoughts and distressing emotions that have led to unhealthy relationships with food, weight/body and exercise.

Whether you have a diagnosed eating disorder, have disordered eating patterns or are struggling with an unhealthy emotional relationship to food or your body, I am here to help. Eating disorders can feel all-consuming, deeply rooted and highly interfering. My work with you will focus on exploring unhealthy relationships you may have with food, weight, body image and/or exercise and how they are impacting your quality of life. I strongly believe each eating disorder is unique and serves a specific “function” for the individual struggling. Together, we will explore what deeper “needs” you may be seeking through disordered behaviors and ways we can work toward coping that is more connected to the values and motivators you have for your life. You are the expert on you, and together we can explore your mind and mend your relationship to food.

If you are the parent of a child or adolescent struggling with Anorexia Nervosa or Bulimia Nervosa, please see the “Family Based Therapy (FBT)” link on the Therapy Services tab for more information on what services I offer.
